Our Position
Drift Studio does not engage in lobbying and does not hire or direct third parties to lobby on its behalf.
We do not make financial or in-kind contributions to political candidates, political parties, or political campaigns.
Our values are not determined by political affiliations, changes in leadership, or the interests of those seeking influence. We choose where to direct our time, resources, and support based on the communities we serve and the principles behind our work.
For Drift, creating positive change means working directly with people. That includes supporting nonprofits, making charitable and in-kind contributions, and creating professional opportunities for underrepresented creatives.
We believe meaningful community involvement does not require political allegiance.
Responsible Advocacy
Although Drift does not participate in lobbying, we recognize the importance of establishing clear standards for any future activity that could constitute lobbying.
Any proposed lobbying activity must be reviewed and approved by the studio’s owner before it takes place.
Drift will only consider lobbying intended to contribute to a positive impact on society or the environment. Any such activity must be supported by reliable information, scientific evidence where relevant, and transparent communication.
We will not knowingly misrepresent evidence, make misleading claims, or use our business relationships to exert improper political influence.
Political Contributions
Drift does not make financial or in-kind political contributions, including donations of money, products, professional services, or other business resources to political candidates, parties, or campaigns.
Charitable donations, nonprofit partnerships, and community support are separate from political contributions.
Before supporting an organization, we consider whether the proposed contribution aligns with its stated charitable or community purpose and whether it could constitute political lobbying or campaign support.
Anti-Corruption and Bribery
Drift prohibits bribery, corruption, and improper attempts to influence public officials or government decisions.
We will not offer, request, or accept money, gifts, services, or other benefits intended to secure an improper advantage.
Any suspected violation will be reviewed by the owner and addressed through appropriate corrective action.
Third-Party Organizations
Drift may participate in professional associations, business networks, nonprofit partnerships, and community organizations.
Participation does not authorize these organizations to lobby on Drift’s behalf.
Before engaging an organization specifically to represent Drift in public-policy matters, the owner must review its proposed activities, intended objectives, and consistency with this policy.
Drift will not knowingly authorize or fund lobbying through an intermediary that conflicts with its responsible lobbying standards.
If an organization independently engages in lobbying, Drift will consider whether its activities create a conflict with the studio’s commitments and take appropriate action where necessary.
Oversight and Accountability
As Drift Studio’s sole owner and highest governing authority, the owner is responsible for approving, implementing, and enforcing this policy.
The policy applies to business activities conducted by the owner and anyone authorized to represent Drift.
To put this policy into practice, Drift will:
Review proposed political contributions, lobbying activities, and relevant third-party engagements before approval.
Maintain appropriate records of any approved activities.
Monitor potential conflicts through ordinary business and purchasing reviews.
Evaluate compliance at least annually and address any identified violations.
Review and formally approve the policy at least annually, or sooner if business activities or applicable requirements change.
Because Drift does not currently engage in lobbying or political contributions, oversight is focused on maintaining these boundaries and identifying any proposed activities that could create compliance risks.
Raising Concerns
Clients, contractors, collaborators, suppliers, and other stakeholders may raise concerns about Drift’s business conduct, political contributions, lobbying activities, or potential violations of this policy through the studio’s established grievance procedure.
Concerns will be reviewed by the owner, handled as confidentially as reasonably possible, and addressed without retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
Approval and Availability
This policy is approved by Drift Studio LLC’s sole owner and highest governing authority.
It is publicly available through the Drift Studio website and will be reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains accurate and appropriate for the studio’s operations.
